Winter Conference 2020

Growing lives of service and leadership

As Fellowship, Internship, and Vocational Programme alumni, as well as former staff, we invite you to Venn Winter Conference 2019.

We live in unprecedented times. Technology is expanding, life-expectancy has increased, employment and study opportunities are endless, and living standards have increased.

And yet, there’s a disquiet among us. We’re aware that not all people share in these new opportunities and that these new gains don’t meet our deep longings for lives of meaning, depth, and unity.

It is in this context that we need people who can faithfully and wisely serve and lead in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We long to be a people who are passionate about living well in God’s good world and, in turn, enable others to do so.

This year we are excited to welcome Paul Williams, CEO Bible Society United Kingdom and Research Professor of Marketplace Theology and Leadership at Regent College. Paul will help us explore two questions, What does it mean for us to seek the Kingdom of God and God’s righteousness in our roles as parents, teachers, professionals, students, artists, people in business, and public servants? And, How might we do that?

Join us for a weekend of teaching, prayer and worship, and reconnection. We’d love to see you there.

8-9 June, 2020

Following Venn Winter Conference, we are excited to be hosting Winter School 2020. There will be two short courses on offer this year, one with Paul Williams and one with Dr Rod Thompson (educator, pastor, and former principal of Laidlaw College). These will be an opportunity to take a few extra days to do a deep dive on a topic with a smaller group of people.

Interested? Places are limited so we’d encourage you to register early.
